Baby 13′s Pregnancy Diary: Weeks 30 and 31

The busyness of Christmas meant that I was unable to update last week, leaving me to make a double-entry this week instead. Not that there is anything new to report, mind.

During the last couple of weeks I have noticed a relative dip in energy levels. It could also have something to do with the bug and cold I came down with but I do wonder if low iron levels and depleted energy resources could be a contributing factor to feeling so awful. Typically, Mike and I had an overnight stay away booked by our kids as a Christmas present – our first since I was pregnant with Eddie (Child #5) ten years ago – and I was too ill to enjoy it. Talk about Sod’s Law at work.

Still, despite colds, tiredness and heartburn which remains ever-present, I feel well. I still cannot believe that we are so close to celebrating the birth of our newest member of the family. This pregnancy seems to have gone by at a super-fast rate indeed.

We’ve been considering different ways we can mark – or rather share – the birth with our followers. Live tweeting it, perhaps? Or maybe Facebooking it? I’m not sure whether I’d be able to tweet from the theatre bed. Or whether you guys would even want to know until it’s all over and done with. Mike will be filming the baby’s arrival so maybe we’ll consider putting together a video instead. What do you think?

Names – we still have none. And we still have a bedroom to redecorate and prepare for the sleeping arrangement reshuffle. And a double buggy to replace. And baby clothes to wash and prepare. And a hospital bag to pack. We have seven weeks to go until our scheduled c-section date (which I’m due to confirm with my consultant later this month), so that’s plenty of time to get everything done, right?
