Monday Weigh-In: Week 31

I’ve stayed the same this week. I was hoping for at least a pound loss, but expecting another small gain but it’s ok to stay the same. Better than putting it on I guess.

I’m having real motivation issues at the moment. It has become apparent that my “break” for Christmas has resulted in a downhill spiral of a longing for copious amounts of sweet and fatty things. This, coupled with the fact that I’m longing for stodgy, filling foods like hot creamy soups and casseroles with dumplings to ward off the cold weather, seems to be affecting my ability to lose weight. I wonder why?

As we’re still pretty early on into the New Year I wondered if anyone would like to join me on my mission to lose weight? I’ve still got 2 stones (28lbs) to go and would really love to get there by the summer. But, like I said, I’m losing motivation.

Now I’m not going to tell you what diet to follow, or what to do, or give goals for each day or anything. Grab the button for your site, then use McKlinky below to link up to your post each Monday keeping us updated on your progress (because there will be progress, won’t there?) and don’t forget to link back to this post. Hopefully we’ll get a merry band of us together to fight off the evil cellulite fairy.

  1. Lol! I didn't make the connection until I actually came by the site, but months ago your blog inspired me to get back on track with my weight loss. I had gotten over weight the year after I got married and got back on track 2 years after that. I kept the weight off and practiced really healthy habits for the next 3+ years. Did really well for the first part of my pregnancy and then in the last trimester gained 10 pounds a month and an additional 30 pounds after my son was born.
Just recently started trying to get back on track and am down 12 pounds in 2 months.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Wow, I'm so thrilled that you've done so well and that I've given someone out there the encouragement that they too can do it! More than anything I wanted to keep myself accountable, and knowing I'd made the commitment to update on the blog makes me stick to it better. Until Christmas that is *sigh*!

Pregnancy really is the kicker when it comes to weight. I only put on a stone or so after each pregnancy which doesn't sound bad. Then you realise that if you don't get rid of that extra stone each time you have a baby, then have five babies in six years, you're a lot heavier!

I hope you'll join me so that we can help motivate each other. Sometimes reading other peoples stories gives me the push I need too.
