Tim Update: A GOOD Day!

I didn’t have a chance to update yesterday.

It was a busy day.

It was a GOOD day!

The previous night was restless and emotional for me. Tim was unable to keep his tube feeds down. I was consumed with mummy-guilt, questioning how I could possibly have avoided this unexpected, unwanted introduction to life in the big, wide world for him.

I woke in the morning, exhausted with puffy eyes from a night of crying, to the news that he still wasn’t tolerating tube feeds.

I wasn’t feeling optimistic about the day ahead.

Then throughout the day, all this happened…

Tim's oxygen supply was removed. He was breathing all by himself!

I got to hold Tim for the first time since he was born! (Excuse the pale, sobbing face!)

Tim was doing well enough to be moved from his incubator to a cot!

And by the end of the day he had successfully bottle fed twice for the first time since birth... and kept it all down!
