It’s December and it feels like Christmas is finally nearing. The transition from November to December brings a sudden urgency for some people to get prepared – but not for us because our preparations are well under way, aren’t they?
Week 7 (w/c 02/12):
As we are now into December we can begin to get into the festivities of the month with shameless abandon. We know our decorations are in order and ready to go so get to work on getting the house decorated in all its festive glory!
This is a brilliant time for getting the kids in on the act and there is nothing like creating handmade decorations of your own to add to the tree. If you can’t bear the kids taking over the decorating of the Christmas tree consider giving them their own one to decorate however and with whatever they like.
Later this week we’ll be posting some fab ideas for decorations they can make themselves, but even the least creative parents or craft-averse parents can surely find a festive paper chain decoration simple enough to get the kids stuck into making?!
Looking for some homemade gift ideas to give? How about some homemade treats – delicious melt-in-the-mouth fudge or luxurious handmade chocolate truffles perhaps? Or maybe you want something a little longer lasting like these Oatmeal Soap Balls with Honey and Goats Milk?
Get your cards finished and ready for sending this week. Make sure your gift parcels are wrapped and ready to go, ensuring they’re sent by the final posting dates. For extra peace of mind you may want to consider sending them slightly before the final dates to allow for unforeseen circumstances such as the wrong kind of snow.
Lastly, continue to keep on top of your deliveries and orders, keeping your records updated and the wrapping done as they arrive.
We have created a printable PDF copy of Christmas Countdown: Your week-by-week guide to getting organised for Christmas – Week 7 for you to print off and keep.
