Today is one month exactly until we meet Baby Sullivan.
I have noticed how the first two trimesters have me counting up the weeks through the pregnancy yet once I hit 30 weeks it turns into a countdown instead. This countdown seems to have come by very quickly. Mike doesn’t seem to think so. Maybe I feel the pressure more as to just how little time we have left to do what we need to do.
The to-do list currently stands at the following:
- Build triple bunk
- Rearrange storage to create space for Baby Sullivan’s clothes
- Wash and put away Baby Sullivan’s clothes
- Buy last few bits for hospital bag
- Pack hospital bag
Okay, so it’s not that much really but I can’t adopt Mike’s more relaxed attitude of, ‘How much does a new baby need preparing for anyway? It won’t take long.’
I’m thinking more along the lines of, ‘This baby will end up sleeping naked in a drawer if we don’t get a move on.’
My hips are beginning to cause me a few niggles now, probably because of the stupid extra non-baby weight I’m carrying. Must eat more salads and fewer empty calories, I think. Night times are constantly interrupted with several much-needed loo visits throughout and the heartburn is nothing short of a constant annoyance now. Apart from that everything is going well and I have nothing else to complain about or report.
I still think baby is a boy. Mike has now changed his mind to thinking it is a girl. One of us is right. The question is who?
Hi Tania,
Other than taking loads of Rennies for heartburn I also found that really cold celery from the fridge really helped, it’s very alkaline so neutralises some of that pesky acid. I hope that might help you a bit. x
