They don’t call Florida the sunshine state for nothing. This place is inarguably one of the best places to go to during summer, not just because of its exceptional weather but because of the host of activities it has to offer.
If you have no idea where to go this break or you’re still on the fence about visiting Florida, these reasons might just convince you that the state is indeed THE place to go for summer.
1. Theme parks
Whether you’re traveling with children or you just want to ignite that kid in you, there’s a theme park in Florida that you and your family are sure to enjoy. The most popular one is the Universal Orlando Resort. Next to it is SeaWorld and Disney World. Take your pick and spend your sunny days here in these fun wonderlands.
2. Beaches
Florida’s peninsula is enveloped with soft white sand. Sunbathe here, read a book, or just enjoy the view of the ocean. If it gets too hot, just jump into the teal blue waters to cool down. Borrow it for a day or a few days and do as you please in the ocean whether it’s having a picnic, tanning, drinking, or you know, jumping off your boat into the water, just having a really good time.
4. Wildlife
Florida is home to a rich wildlife. Don’t be surprised if you spot crocodiles, panthers, dolphins, manatees, turtles, or zebras in their reserve. If you’re in the mood to do some sightseeing of these animals, simply visit one of their wildlife centers and book a tour.
5. Golf
Did you know that Florida is actually home to thousands of golf courses? If you play golf, this place will be like paradise for you. Even if you’re just a beginner, you won’t have a hard time selecting a course that will suit your skill level.
6. Food
Florida’s cuisine features a rich mix of cultures and people. Aside from the abundance of delicious seafood, you’ll find influences from the Caribbean, Cajun, and Creole. It’s a diverse selection that keep your taste buds busy for the rest of your stay here.
7. Nightlife
If you’re looking to spice up your vacation, partaking in the nightlife is definitely a must! The parties in Florida never stop, especially in Miami Beach. It’s lined with nightclubs and open-air clubs that will have you enjoying the beach atmosphere even in the evenings. Other excellent areas for night adventures include Fort Lauderdale, Ybor City, and Pleasure Island.
