Whatever you might think, changing your lifestyle to one which your body and mind will thank you for doesn’t need to be time consuming nor expensive. Forget gym memberships and faddy diets. Make these small changes and you will feel the benefits sooner than you think!
Drink more water
Most of us do not drink anywhere near the amount recommended each day, which is between six and eight 8oz glasses. Fizzy drinks and alcohol don’t count (you’ll feel better if you cut these down too), but if you don’t like the taste of plain water you can try giving it a boost with a slice of lemon. Besides that, go for regular health and dental check-ups and fix painful oral issues with oral surgeon boynton beach to keep your pearly whites in top condition.
Move more
You don’t need to start forking out for expensive gym memberships to get fitter. All you need to do is move more. Go for a daily walk whatever the weather, start a Couch to 5k with a friend or go for a swim if that’s what you enjoy. As long as you move more today than you did yesterday and keep doing so, then that’s progress!
Make small changes to your diet
We’ve all heard the saying that you are what you eat. Well, your body will be feeling the ill effects of a poor diet more than you can imagine. Add more fresh fruit and vegetables to your daily intake, switch to brown rices and pasta to increase fibre and include healthy oils which have been shown to lower cholesterol, in turn reducing the risk of heart disease.
Get enough sleep… but not too much!
It is recommended that most healthy adults should have between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night in order to be at their best. Have trouble switching off? Don’t take your mobile phones, tablets or laptops along with you. Making your room a tech-free zone will enable your body to relax quicker and more effectively, and will create a better night’s sleep for you all round.
Smile
My brother always said that the reason people liked the Joker in Batman is not actually because he threw cash around but because he was always smiling. Smiling makes people feel good. It lifts their spirits. Smiling is infectious. Even if you don’t feel like it, pretend! Give a passer by a smile when you’re out and about and the chances are it will be returned and that, in turn, will make you feel good! Feeling good about yourself in one way will then seep into other areas of your life and the positivity will spread, and that can only be a good thing! So be like the Joker and smile!

I fail at the very first point and of course the 4th one too! I am thirsty but my bottle is empty and I feel lazy enough to maintain it the same way!
I have read the post and now I am going to fill my bottle just after I am done commenting here.
Thank you for the lovely post.
Swati.
I wonder if anyone actually does hit their recommended water intake each day?! We must try harder! Thanks for stopping by, Swati
Trying and trying, and only getting better than my previous me.
Thank you 🙂
