Hi, Cait here! Just hijacking the blog with this post:
When I was told that my birthday present was that I was going to Iceland, I’m pretty sure my first thought was something along the lines of, ‘It’s so cold there!’ I can’t say I’m much of a winter person which I definitely get from my mum’s side, so despite the fact that I’ve wanted to see the Northern Lights since I first learned about them some years ago, I was kind of sceptical as to how I’d cope.
My actual, physical presents on my birthday comprised of socks, base shirts, waterproof trousers and a coat so I was halfway ready. All I needed to get were a few jumpers, a larger coat, hiking boots and of course, a hat and gloves. When it came to getting me and my dad a set of hats and gloves we went for Heat Holders, a company known for their warm and incredibly soft products and I am so glad we did. Not only are the items warm and perfect for the chill, they’re also a really gorgeous colour with a lovely knitted pattern. I put them on for the first time and I was so tempted not to take them off as they were unbelievably soft. The men’s hat and gloves are the same, coming in a variety of colours with a simple but nice pattern.
There are colours to suit anyone’s taste, with men’s being available in black, charcoal, navy, burgundy, brown and khaki, while for ladies there is a choice of black, navy, purple, rose, fawn, cram and light grey.
I’ve already mentioned that it’s my mum who I get my aversion to the cold from and we knew we had to get something for her too. We’ll be leaving her behind with one of Heat Holder’s oh-so-comfy Snuggle Up Blanket (£23.99). It’s made of the softest fleece I’ve ever felt and its huge which makes it perfect for relaxing on the sofa with a good film or book. If you like to kit our your room in certain colours but can’t resist one of these amazing blankets, you’re in luck because it’s available in 7 different hues: black, Moon Rock, Antique Silver, Hot Chocolate, Mulled Wine, Snow Fall and Winter Fawn. I might have to somehow figure out a way to sneak it into my suitcase…!
I adore heat holders products! I hate winter, sometime I get chilblains too, but these keeps me nice and warm.
We have the Heat Holder’s Snuggle Up Blanket which is so cosy and comfy and the kids like snuggling into it. Did not know they did gloves now.
