Our family has been very lucky to be invited to look behind the scenes of some of the best artisan food and drink producers in the Veneto region of Italy and this trip was certainly no exception.
The Barduca family run their organic farm which provides pre-packed salads and herbs throughout Europe. You may have seen some of their products at Abel and Cole, for example.
The family welcomed us all with open arms, with the founder’s daughters Alessia and Laura, and their friend Valentina sharing their story, their hard work and their determination to keep working with the land rather than against it to bring the best, healthiest food to people everywhere. We left feeling far more appreciative of pre-packed salads, now viewing it in a way we had never previously given thought to before.
