But then, aren’t all babies special?
I have been on the lookout for a special little item to act as Baby 13’s going home outfit. With just over two weeks until our scheduled c-section date I appreciate I’m cutting things fine, so I haven’t left myself long to look around. So last week it was lovely to receive this beautifully presented gift box.
Wrapped up within the box was Baby 13’s going-home outfit. It took a while for me to look through all the baby clothes that My 1st Years offer. We don’t yet know the sex of the baby and won’t do until delivery so it limited our choices somewhat. There are some absolutely adorable outfits to choose from once you know the sex, making buying new baby gifts easier, but a lesser choice if you don’t. Whilst we love having the surprise of the ‘It’s a… boy/girl’ announcement in delivery, this was one of the few moments I wished I knew what we were expecting so that I could go a little crazy with all the gorgeous items of clothing in stock.
As it was, I managed to stay on track and found a handful of outfits to choose from. Neutral colours and design were a must, and the 100% cotton fabric makes it soft and comfortable for baby’s skin but still durable enough to withstand numerous washes and still stay looking good. What made it perfect, however, was the ability to personalise the outfit with anything we wanted. We couldn’t use the intended names, not knowing which choice we’d be using until baby was born and revealed its gender, so we opted for this instead…
‘Lucky 13’ – it says it all really, doesn’t it?
