Who would have thought a song about a partridge in a pear tree could be so upsetting?

Paddy and Anna

Some of you have already sent me your Christmas Vomit photographs and it looks like children all over the world have been taught at the same school of design.  Read this if you’re not sure about what I’m talking about.

Anyway, the decorating (and I use the term very loosely) in this house is done now.  Not everybody was thrilled with the Christmas songs playing in the background.

As everyone else was busily and happily singing along to “The Twelve Days of Christmas” there was one member of the family who was getting very upset whenever we sang about the “Partridge in a pear tree”.

Paddy screamed and yelled and cried until he shook.

“Stop being mean to me!!!” he shouted over and over again throughout the song.

It turned out he thought we were singing, “A Patrick in a pear tree,” poor thing!
