Week 9?

Already?

That means Christmas is only a week away!

Stating the obvious I know, but it seems like only yesterday that I began this countdown and now it’s almost ended. That came around quick!

Week 9 (w/c 16/12):

So, how are we doing?

Your home should be looking festive, your Christmas Day meal planned and online grocery shopping booked.

We should have worked through most of our gift list by now, with all presents bought, wrapped and labelled. Get a move on to get any outstanding presents on your list before the big day.

All cards should have been sent by now. If you still haven’t got around to posting off your cards and parcels don’t worry, you still have a few days left but you have to be quick. Royal Mail’s recommended last posting dates are:

Wednesday 18th December for 2nd Class and Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class

Friday 20th December for 1st Class and Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class

Monday 23rd December for Special Delivery Guaranteed

Make sure you get in a good supply of batteries for all those toys and games which are bound to need them. If you can, invest in rechargeables plus a charger which, although will cost more to purchase at first, will soon pay for themselves and end up saving you a great deal of money not very far down the line. Buy a variety of sizes as though most toys seem to use the AA or AAA size. If you’ve been very organised you’ll have noted any battery requirements for your children’s presents before wrapping. Most of the online descriptions have these details included so tracking them down to make sure you have enough of the right batteries in the correct size shouldn’t be too difficult to do.
