We’re on our way to planning and organising the most stress-free Christmas ever. Week 1 was pretty painless and you’ll be pleased to hear that Week 2 isn’t too bad either.

The whole point of this Christmas Countdown is to work all our preparations out so that we deal with them in bite-sized, manageable pieces, ensuring we don’t get overwhelmed with all we have to organise and do.

Week 2 (w/c 28/10):

Do you know how many you’ll be entertaining on Christmas Day? Is it just the usual family, or are extended family and friends also joining you? Now is the time to make sure you have enough cutlery and crockery for everyone – plus a few spares.

Will anyone be staying with you during the holiday period? Work out sleeping arrangements and ensure you have enough bedding to go around. Use this week to stock up on any housewares you will need during the Christmas and New Year weeks.

Work out your table decorations. Will you be going for a particular colour scheme or layout? Buy your tablecloths and decorations now. Don’t forget the crackers!

Have you started your gift shopping yet? If not, why not? It might feel like you’ve still got plenty of time to go before you have to worry about Christmas shopping but starting early means you will have more chance of getting the things you want at bargain prices, saving you a lot of money in the long run. You also won’t have to worry about stocks of the must-have gifts running out as demand grows. Get in there early and reap the rewards! Don’t forget to check out the Larger Family Life Discount Forum where we will be hunting out the best bargains and codes every day. Bookmark the page and come back daily for the newest deals. With many offers running for limited periods only make sure you check back often so that you don’t miss out.
