It is now March and I am eagerly awaiting spring.
I am most definitely not a winter person. Whilst the colours are beautiful and the drop in temperature refreshing, I admit that I am not an autumn person either. Summer is my season. I like picnics in the park, barbecues in the garden, bright, early mornings and the heat of the sun… if we’re lucky. But to get to that you need spring.
Spring signals a new beginning. New life in the tiny shoots rising up out of the earth. Warmer weather, longer days and the promise that it’s going to get better. I like the promises spring brings.
We’ve been teased with bursts of better weather recently, only for it to turn cold and glum again overnight. The anticipation and excitement that spring has finally arrived is set back with the disappointing reminder that winter isn’t ready to leave us just yet.
Good things come to those who wait.
We just need to wait a little longer.
I’m with you Tania…fewer clothes to wash and keep track of, no coats by the front door or wet boots tracking through; just swimsuits and towels and long hot days at the pool! Summer is by far my favorite. I, too, appreciate the idea of a change in seasons-the newness of spring, the beautiful fall colors, and the pristine whiteness of snow, but I relish summer…it will be here before we know it.
Keep up the God work.
