Monday Weigh-In: Week 30

Would you look at that?! A Monday Weigh-In post made on a Monday!

The first Monday Weigh-In post of the New Year and I’ve come to the conclusion that perhaps my Christmas binge wasn’t such a great idea. I’ve put on another pound this week bringing me to 10st 7lbs, a gain of 4lbs of the last couple of weeks.

I’m beginning to feel rather disappointed with myself. Disappointed that I allowed myself to gain at a time when I was making real progress and passing milestones. Well, milestones to me, having begun to reach the weight I’d previously been almost seven years ago.

I hope this isn’t the slippery road to complete failure. I cannot allow myself to give in now. I’ve come so far and done so well.

It’s time to get back into the swing of things. Is anyone joining me for the New Year?

  1. Despite pregnancy, I'm totally back on the bandwagon! I'm not dieting, but rather eating healthily to ensure a good rest of the pregnancy as I look ahead to the ever looming third trimester approaching. I'm 25 weeks now, not long until that milestone passes and I'd like a good birth experience. So far I've just put on a stone, which isn't bad at all, and I'm not obsessing over the weight gain too much, but I was overweight to start with a bit.

    4 lbs isn't that bad for the christmas holidays! Don't worry about the setbacks and just focus on the road ahead! Better to accept the slight gain than slump into it eh? Good luck, you know you can, and by the time the summer hits you'll probably be at your goal! xx

  2. I feel your pain…I had recently(over the summer) lost 15 pounds and 8 of them are back. Ughhhhh…..

  3. We all gain over the holidays. Just dust yourself off and get back to your routine. You can do it. Life happens and you can't be discouraged that you're human.

  4. Don't be so hard on yourself! It is in the past. Get back in there and move forward…

    I am in the same boat. Back and forth with the same 30 lbs. Lost 30, then got sick and 4 surgeries later I've got my butt tapping me on the shoulder again. So, I am on day #2 of going back to the gym and eating healthy.

    We can do this together! 🙂

  5. Mesina, I had no idea you were even pregnant! Congratulations! When are you due?

    @Inadvertent farmer: I'm sure you can lose it again. The holidays seem a very dangerous time for those of us trying to lose weight!

    @I am blessed: Thank you. I am trying to get straight back to it. Back to basics I think.

    @Lisa: Good luck with losing the weight. You did it once so you know you can do it again. Yes, together we'll get there!
