A Comfortable Alternative Than Staying In A Hotel

Staying in a hotel is easy, and simple- but why stay in a hotel for one week, when you can stay in a beautiful house or condo with ample space. There’s so many more options out there that are a little different than your classic; two double beds + bathroom hotel. Believe it or not, most of the time staying in a condo or house is even cheaper- than spending all that money on a hotel to stay in one swished room with four people. It’s like buying a vehicle. Of course you look in the dealership lots at all the beautiful/new vehicles and in reality you could save a lot of money buy investing in a good used vehicle. There are plenty of cars for sale near me if you are in the market, and it’s just like looking for a place to stay. Invest a little time in the planning process and the outcome will be amazing! During this article I am going to talk about spending your money the smart way!

If you are a hotel kind of traveller, that is okay! I have nothing against staying in a hotel. However, when you are traveling for more than one night; there are many more comfortable options out there like Airbnb. Airbnb is amongst one of the few places that allow you to rent out other people’s houses, condos, cottages, or investment homes. Followed by HomeAway, VRBO, Flipkey, and Roomorama. All these platforms make it easy for you to book your stay and check it. You many be wondering, how are we going to check in to someone’s condo or house. There are many different options that the homeowners set in place. Whether they meet you at the door with the key or they have keyless entry, it’s all easy to figure out and the instructions on the website are easy to follow.

House sitting is a whole different ball game. If you are planning on going to a different country for a long period of time- I would recommend looking into house sitting. House sitting is a way to stay in a country of your choice and look after a person’s house while they are away. In return you get to stay for free. Some places even pay you a small fee to look after their animals or whatever it may be when you stay. It’s similar to couchsurfing. Couchsurfing you actually stay on somebody’s couch; usually when they are home. These people are opening their homes to you, to make it affordable for people to travel. This is a good way to meet new people and in return make new friendships.

VRBO, and all the other vacation rental platforms follow the same set up as Airbnb. You just go on their websites, pick the country and city that you are traveling to; set your budget, number of bedrooms, number of people you are traveling with, along with your pet if you have one and click go! This will bring up all your different options and rentals that you can choose from. Once you choose the place you want to stay, you explain why you choose this place in a simple sentence and then the host will accept you. After they have accepted your request they will provide you will all the check-in information you will need to make your stay the best it could possibly be! Cheers to 2017, and what technology has created.
