A trip to Scotland has long been on our list of places to visit and still remains so. Rich in history, with striking scenery and breath-taking lochs we cannot believe that we have yet to make our way there.

From now until 18th July families can book a two night short break for only £299 which is splendid value for money. Under this deal, two adults and two children under the age of 12 will share one of the 108 family rooms, they’ll have a full Scottish breakfast every morning and a three-course meal on their first evening there.
The hotel is packed with extra facilities for everyone to enjoy. The deal also covers full use of the hotel’s swimming pool with flumes, waterslide and wave machine (so lots of fun for parents as well as the kids!), plus three hours of supervised play at Aviemore Activity Centre.
The activity centre alone is a terrific addition to the refurbished hotel, providing more than 1,500 square metres of space and various activities for children of all ages to enjoy. Offering three sessions each day you can choose whether your child will enjoy the facilities in the morning, afternoon or evening. Children aged two and under will enjoy the ‘Tumble’ area while slightly older 3 to 5-year-olds will love exploring their own play area complete with soft play and an interactive floor.
Older children aged six to twelve have their own zone to chill out in. They can put on a show, try out some science experiments or play a game on the interactive floor, while children aged 13 and over can relax in the ‘Chill’ zone. With a number of additional areas including a sensory calming zone, a gaming zone and a music mixing zone, it seems Aviemore has every age and interest covered! Our kids would love it!
The location of Macdonald Aviemore Hotel makes it the prime base for a range of activities whether your family wants to shop at Spey Valley, fancies a round of golf with a supply of the best cheap golf balls, or feels like taking in the sights and sound of nature with a scenic walk around the Craigellachie Nature Reserve. If you find the weather is not in your favour there is still plenty to do on site with the entertainment team’s range of daily activities. The range of activities on offer vary from week to week but typical examples are face painting, scavenger hunts, family games nights and children’s bingo games as well as evening shows which are open to both hotel residents and non-residents.
With so much on offer for such a remarkable price this is a deal smaller families might want to seriously consider. Together with luxury accommodation and high levels of service there is so much that the whole family will enjoy.
