Review: Noodle Kids

Any meal that we cook is always made from scratch. We prefer to know what is in our food, which means ready meals are never seen in our house. Often when we are cooking we’ll have at least one or two helpers standing next to us, wanting to learn as much as possible about the preparation and cooking of the food. Paddy in particular loves to cook, and he’s even managed to make a few meals for the entire family by himself, despite his young age.

One book he has taken a shine to is called Noodle Kids written by Jonathon Sawyer. The book shows you different pasta dishes from around the world. In our family, we’re always willing to try something new, and this book provides brilliant recipes that all of the family will enjoy and request again. Some of the meals include Little Ears with Kale, Ricotta Gnocchi with Squash and Garlic Sauce, Tuscan Kale and White Bean Cannelloni, and more.

Seeing as the book is aimed at kids, most of the recipes are nice and simple as well as providing more challenging ones to extend their cooking knowledge. As well as recipes, the book also includes advice such as how to cook and shop for pasta, different variations of pasta, and tips along the way. You’ll learn how to cook stuffed, baked, saucy, slurpy, and gluten-free pasta, in 50 recipes from around the world, all in one book.

It’s fun, easy, and perfect for children and adults alike! It’s become a firm favourite with the kids in our house, one that is sure to be pulled off of the bookshelf for years to come.
