Sullivan Baby #13 had other plans for its due date after all. Not being content with having to wait until the 19th, it (so referred to as we haven’t known whether it was a boy or a girl, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you just yet), decided to get the ball rolling by setting off contractions on Thursday, which co-incidentally happened to be Harry’s 11th birthday.
On Saturday morning I went into hospital to be checked out. It was important that we didn’t allow labour to become fully established.
Last night, the decision was made that I should go into theatre.
Baby 13 was delivered after a simple and complication-free c-section, entering the world with a strong and angry cry at 10.30pm.
Our new son, Timothy Sebastian, weighed in at a healthy 7lb 12oz, with a head of dark hair, a tiny dimple on his right cheek, and ten tiny fingers and toes. He’s absolutely perfect and the most beautiful little being I have ever seen.
During the night Tim’s oxygen levels dropped so he was taken in to SCBU. All tests have so far have come back normal. Hopefully he won’t be there for long – it’s horrid not having him with me yet I know he’s being well looked after.
