Pregnancy Round-Up – Week 14

I was naughty last week and didn’t post much, so missed the Pregnancy Round-Up.

Aren’t you glad to see it back?!

Well, actually there isn’t very much to tell. Symptom-wise, there is nothing much going on. The nausea has completely subsided (yay!) though the tiredness is still very prominent. I think that is down to low iron levels again which always happens during pregnancy. I haven’t yet had the blood results back from the midwife from my appointment last month so will probably have to wait until the end of the month when I have my next appointment.

I still don’t look like I’m pregnant. I just look fat at the moment. And I’m impatiently waiting to feel movements. It’s so reassuring when you feel your baby wriggling about inside. The early days of pausing and wondering if the butterflies you felt were the little one are still so magical. In fact, I think everything about pregnancy is magical. Still. No matter how many times you experience it.

Of course, we had our scan last week. It went very well (though very long) and baby looks happy and healthy and apparently a little larger than dates but that hasn’t been amended at all. I’m still apprehensive about the next scan at 22 weeks which will be carried out on Oliver’s first birthday, as that was when we were told about potential problems with Oliver. I’m very much looking forward to the 4d scan which is booked for 1st July! I can’t wait! Anyway, for now, here are our newest scan photos:

I still find the scans so amazing. Our baby is now measuring just over 8cm from crown to rump and we could even see it sucking on it’s tiny fingers! It’s little, teeny toes! So, truly miraculous.

Are you currently pregnant and blogging about it? If so why don’t you join in? Whether it’s your first or your twentieth I’d love to follow your journey. You don’t have to write your Pregnancy Round-Up post on a Wednesday, just link up each week to your round-up post of the week whenever you’ve put it up. Please do mention within your post that it’s part of the Pregnancy Round-Up posts at Larger Family Life so others can join in if they wish. If you’re in, link up to your post (not your main website page) below!

  1. Tania, congrats on your pregnancy! Those scans are amazingly clear. What an exciting time for you and your family.

And thank you, too, for commenting on my blog, on the Thank You entry. 🙂 I really appreciate that!

  2. Hi there – I am currently 13 weeks into my first pregnancy. I am just one week behind you, so I love to read about what is to come. I go in for a scan this afternoon, and I hope that my pictures are as clear as yours!! Good luck, and I look forward to reading future posts!!

  3. Found you through MBC and now following your blog!

I am becoming a mother soon, and would love any advice other moms have who have already experienced what I am currently experiencing. I would love to hear from you! 🙂

    Have a great Friday!

  4. oooh Tania 14 weeks already?!?! The scan pics are so lovely, I really love the ultrasounds. There's something so lovely and bonding about them. At 20 weeks with my son, Griffin, we too found out about a kidney problem with him. I was nervous for both my daughters scan at that time after and this little guy's. Thankfully, nothing to worry about. I'm sure you will breeze through that scan! *fingers crossed* Soon you'll be feeling all those lovely movements in there!

We are going in Tuesday to have our little guy, I can't believe it's nearly time already. Planned c-section, which I hate but meh, had to be I suppose. But, I'm very excited despite surgery, so roll on Tuesday!! xx

  5. Thank you Julie W!

Mesina, good luck with the c-section. Bet you can't wait to be holding your little one!

Moriah and NJordan30 – congratulations to you both! I hope your pregnancies are stress and problem free, and not too uncomfortable!
