After last weeks 2lb gain I’m pleased to report a 3lb loss this week. We’re going back in the right direction here at least!
The further on I get down this journey, the slower it seems to get. While I was prepared for the weight loss to slow down, now that it’s happening I’m finding it harder to keep myself on track.
Fluctuations like last weeks gain seem to be occurring more now. I knew I hadn’t done much different so couldn’t understand such a gain in a week. However, as we can see, this week has evened itself out just fine and this is par for the course and so must be something I must remember.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that if I don’t change my foods around the results will ease off. For example, if I have fruit salad for breakfast I’ll notice great results on the scales for a week or two. After that though I’ll reach the point where my body seems to adjust and won’t lose as much weight. I’ll then have to change my breakfast choice to muesli or another alternative. I think our bodies are far more in tune than we give them credit for. If they don’t have variety they’ll sulk and refuse to let the weight go!
I now have four pounds to go before I get to the three stone mark. I can’t put a timescale on it as I’ll only feel frustrated (again!) if I don’t get there. The way things are slowing down, it’s going to take F-O-R-E-V-E-R!
Still, I didn’t put the weight on overnight so I can’t expect to lose it all overnight either.
Unfortunately!
This might be a little personal, but women gain weight around their monthly cycles. I don't remember for certain but I think you gain a week before 'Aunt Flo' visits and then lose it when she arrives or a couple of days afterwards. Perhaps they match up? Or perhaps I'm on the completely wrong track altogether 🙂 But I know I fluctuate about 3 pounds through the month depending on what week it is.
