We always wait until October to put our heating on. Until this year! It's been absolutely freezing! I decided enough was enough yesterday so switched it back on (just in the morning and evening). DH still thinks it's too early but the children have all been complaining about the freezing cold mornings too so he's been outvoted. Anyone else here got their heating on already? Hope I'm not the only one!

Not yet. I'm holding out a bit longer. It's a bit chilly in the morning, but it gets quite warm during the day. My kids are all extremely warm-blooded. They are still wearing shorts and t-shirts or summer dresses.

We usually make it to December, *but* we live in a flat with flats above, below and on either side so when everyone else puts their heating on it keeps us warm enough! lol

My excuse is we live up north and it's freezing. Or perhaps we have a very cold house. Or maybe I'm just going soft in my old age! I need to invest in a "onesie". Apparently you can get Cookie Monster ones - I'm sure my kids would be very impressed!!

Where up north do you live Jo? I'm in Nottingham and the weather isn't too bad. When it's chilly I love to have a warm bath and snuggle up in my pjs. I'm not I could pull off the onesie look.

We had a new fire fitted last year so I'm looking forward to putting that on in the evenings again.

We're in Chester which I know is hardly the Outer Hebrides but it has been particularly cold and windy recently. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

The heating is ON! The weather here has been miserable for the last few days so we have had the heating on for a short time morning and evening. Looking forward to snuggling up under a duvet with the fire on tonight to continue my Downton Abbey marathon as dh is away on business tonight :(

Love Downton Abbey! I'm recording all the episodes so my Mum and I can have a DA marathon when she comes over from Spain.

Well, I am so glad I'm not the only one who has got their heating on! My DH kept complaining that it does not need to be turned on yet (he would wait till February, if he could) but I have been quite cold recently, only mornings and evenings (I am always cold though) so today I finally won the battle and now can relax with a nice book, warm and happy... :D
