Post-natal hair loss

Anyone else out there suffering from this? My baby is 5 months old now and my hair is falling our at an alarming rate - I keep expecting to find bald patches! It's blocking the sink, clogging up the hoover and I'm even finding it in Ava's neck at bathtime! I know it's a natural hormone-related thing but as I'm getting older my hair isn't as thick as it used to be and I can't afford to lose anymore
Any tips on how to make it stop?
Olivia

Argh! I'd forgotten about the joys of post baby hair loss. I always get a nasty shock when my hair starts falling out by the hand full.
Joseph is nearly 4 months now so no doubt it'll start soon.
Anyway I've heard that you don't lose as much hair when you are pregnant and the hair you lose post-pregnancy is only what you would have lost whilst you were pregnant. I hate it though when you wash your hair and your fingers get all tangled in hair and the plug hole blocks up :p

I use to freak out when that happened! Yes it's hormone related. I have no idea how to make it stop though, but my hair always grew back just as thick as ever. It just took a while
Have you tried talking to your hair dresser?

I have lost hair but more than losing hair my hair has changed. my mom and grandmother never grayed. my last daughter was a preemie, I was in the hospital for 6 weeks before she was born. my hair is so white now. everyone thinks it is pretty but I just think of it as gray. so weird.
