Not being big television watchers we were not at all familiar with the game show Pointless so were completely clueless when it came to reviewing the board game of the programme.
Like the game show, the aim of the game is to give the most pointless answer in order to win. As simple as it sounds we soon discovered that this was easier said than done. Our natural competitive instinct is to try to come up with the best answer. In this game though, the best answer could be the one to lose you the game!
As we were so completely new to this game and the rules it did take a couple of read-throughs of the instructions to fully understand and get the hang of it. Once we grasped the concept it was easy to play and a lot of fun too! I don’t know how it compares to the programme though, having never watched it and so cannot comment on the pros and cons in that respect.
