With so much talk about student fees there still seems to be much confusion surrounding the actual facts and figures, with over 60% of 14-18 year-olds worried about being able to pay back student loans if they are unable to find employment and whether their credit score will be affected by taking a student loan out.
Today marks the second annual Student Finance Day run by the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance Information and headed by Martin Lewis of Money Saving Expert. Its aim is to dispel the myths and misunderstandings that students and their families may have and to explain clearly and understandably how student finance works and how it will affect them.
Hopefully Student Finance Day will provide reassurance to those who are otherwise so confused by the workings of student finance and all it entails that it would negatively affect their decision to pursue a University education unless their questions are answered.
Martin Lewis has put together this handy 20 point list of facts on the new student finance system.
