Review: The coco go baby seat by bloom

The twins recently had the opportunity to try out the new coco go by bloom which is a luxurious baby seat with a difference.

Suitable for babies from newborn up to approximately 20lb/9kg the coco go is a lightweight yet sturdy seat which is adjustable to three positions.  Depending on your baby’s age and ability you can choose from the fully lie-flat, reclined or upright positions.

My first thought on unpacking the coco go was how soft and comfortable it felt.  The 100% cotton seat is generously padded and fully machine washable which is a must for any baby related products.  The five-point safety harness also has padded cushions around the straps which prevents any uncomfortable rubbing against baby’s skin.  The buckle is also concealed within a padded cushion making it more difficult for inquisitive little fingers to get to.  There is also a vibration unit which is concealed under the seat which requires 2AA batteries to operate – perfect for getting little ones off to sleep or providing comfort they’d usually find during a car ride.

Whilst the coco go is very lightweight it is not flimsy by a long shot.  In fact the steel frame and birch elements provide the seat with a tough, durable structure which is certain to last regular use and the wear and tear of every day life with children – another must in our house!  I have little doubt at all that this seat would stand strong with the use of several babies and I look forward to putting it to the test!

I found the coco go extremely simple to set up and was impressed at how easy it was despite being challenged both in patience and the ability to read instructions.  The instructions themselves were and uncomplicated and explained how to put together and use the chair in its various configurations in a straightforward manner.

Once you have taken the minute or two to put together the seat, simply set the seat to the required position by pressing in the buttons situated on the connectors on each side of the seat and rotating the seat as you wish.  The seat will click as it locks into position.

The seat can be used in bouncer mode for babies from newborn to 6 months in two different positions.  The seat is steadied by rotating the stoppers at the base outwards.  These can be tucked in again to turn the seat into a rocker, in which you can choose to set the seat in one of three positions – again for babies from newborn to 6  months.  As baby grows older the coco go can be used in the upright position so making it a wonderfully versatile, multi-functional seat suitable for any stage of baby’s first year.

Whilst I was very impressed with the style, the quality and the overall functionality of the seat I was interested to see the feedback from the people who mattered – the twins.

You’ll have to forgive the blurry photo but Anna just would not stay still in this seat!  She clearly loved the bouncing and rocking whilst I inwardly praised the secure safety buckle!

Libby had pretty much the same idea as Anna did until…

…she just couldn’t fight the comfort any more…

Anything that can get my twins off to sleep is okay in my book!

The coco go is available in three colour schemes – beach house white/frost grey, natural/sandstone or cappuccino/henna brown and has an RRP of £140.00. You can find out more about coco go and other bloom products at www.bloombaby.com.
