Earlier on this year we reviewed the yoomi self warming bottle.
We were cynical, sceptical and not convinced it would work so we were pleasantly surprised to find that not only did it do what it claimed to do but it did it well too!
To recap the yoomi self warming bottle has a unique, wide-necked design and a natural breast-shaped teat making the transition from breast to bottle feeding easier for baby.
The bottle has 6 anti-colic vents helping to reduce the amount of air that baby takes in whilst drinking, relieving colic and tummy pains .
The yoomi heats up the milk in sixty seconds – far quicker than leaving a bottle standing in a jug of boiling water and much more convenient when you’re out and about. Simply charge up the warmer, set up the bottle and store in the fridge as normal. When it’s time for baby to feed just press the button on the warmer and turn the bottle upside down. The warmer will heat up in sixty seconds warming up the milk as baby feeds.
yoomi have looked at ways that they could improve usability of the bottle and decided to take the issue of the relative amount of time it takes to charge up the warmer. Rather than having to boil the warmer in a pan of boiling water or steam steriliser for 25 minutes you can now charge it in the microwave with the accompanying pod in just two minutes!
This time-saving development will surely be welcomed by parents who, like me, might not always have remembered to charge up the warmers in time to use them. You also have the option of charging up the warmers the original way too if you’d rather. The choice is yours.
The yoomi pod became available exclusively through Mamas & Papas on 1st June 2012 but you can also purchase it through the yoomi website at www.yoomi.com too.
We have one yoomi set containing a 240ml bottle, warmer and pod worth £23.50 to give away to a lucky winner. To enter click over to our yoomi competition now.
