It has often been said that women are known for their multi-tasking abililties but a recent survey by British Gas reveals how the internet helps their time-saving skills go even further.  

For me, the internet has proven to be such a life-line.  All my bills and banking are set up so I can deal with them online saving me a lot of time, money and hassle, especially with so many other things to do.

According to the survey mums are saving up to an hour a day by using the internet to complete tasks such as buying gifts, managing finances and paying bills.  39% of those surveyed said they did these tasks alongside doing the housework, 10% whilst pushing a buggy and 22% whilst on the toilet! 

Whilst mums spend the least amount of time online, the time they do spend on the internet is used efficiently to deal with everyday tasks.  To help minimise the valuable time they need to spend doing chores such as submitting meter readings, managing energy bills or checking their balance British Gas has introduced a range of online tools.
