Review: Mookie Pillow Pets

We were recently given the opportunity to try out one of the new Pillow Pets by Mookie.

Now I have to admit it.  I am not a fan of cuddly toys.  I find them big space wasters, dust gatherers and just a pain as they seem to multiply and accumulate quicker than I can discreetly get rid of them.

I wasn’t sure how a cuddly toy that you could supposedly use as a pillow would be any different at all to the huge, already unwelcome collection we have in our house.

I was pleasantly surprised!

We received a cute, cuddly Pillow Pet Pig to snuggle up to.  My first thought on receiving it was just how soft and comforting it felt.  Unlike regular cuddly toys it didn’t feel at all rough or even furry.  Made of high quality chenille you could immediately feel the difference.

The toy transforms from a cuddly pet to hug into a comfy pillow to rest upon quickly and easily by simply undoing a velcro strap underneath the belly.  It’s so simple and easy to do that even small fingers can transform it from pet to pillow and back again with very little fuss and bother.

Everyone bypasses the normal cushions when they fancy a lie down on the sofa or to watch a film on the floor and find they fancy a little support and softness to rest their heads on.   It is just so snuggly and soft and just perfect for a five minute nap on the sofa – and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve grabbed the pillow pet several times to do just that!

Whilst we all loved the Pillow Pet – it was well made and like I keep saying, feels sooooo soft and cuddly – I do think that the rrp of £19.99 is a little high.  However, remember the rrp isn’t always the price they sell at so if you do manage to find one at a better price I’d recommend considering it as a gift or a treat for someone.  There is a huge variety of different animals you can choose from so look out for them on the Pillow Pet website which will be up and running soon at www.pillowpets.co.uk.
