Review: Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Mid-Air Madness

Last year the boys were lucky enough to be able to try out a new addition to the Hot Wheels collection – the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks by Mattel.

A few weeks ago they had the opportunity to try out a newer version – the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Mid-Air Madness (rrp. £29.99).

Like the original, the latest product from Hot Wheels contains a selection of different tracks allowing your cars to flip and race along against the wall.  But this version goes that one step further.

Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Mid-Air Madness also comes with a fabulously detailed background poster allowing your little racers to get into the racing spirit.  As the playroom has since been converted into a bedroom for Grandad we’ve become quite short of bare walls.  Rather than sticking the poster and wall tracks directly to the wall as we did with the original toy we stuck them to a piece of MDF board instead.  This was handy as the toy could then be moved about and stored easily.

That’s not all that is different.  This version also comes with a booster (requiring 2 x D batteries) which steps up the speed at which the cars travel… a lot!

The boys were thrilled with the speed at which the cars flipped and raced along the tracks.  You can also combine different sets of tracks together to increase your circuit for even more speedy, Hot Wheels fun!
