Eagle eyed long-time readers of this blog who also watched “15 Kids and Counting” a couple of weeks ago would have noticed my much loved, hip’n'trendy hospital bag on the show. The weekend bag that I used is so loved and that when the newest addition to Julie Slater and Son’s Mono Hoop range was introduced I was thrilled!
No more do satchels need to be boring. Measuring 32cm x 29cm x 9cm, this bag is roomy enough for the student needing to carry books and A4 binders, or someone like me who just gathers copious amounts of odd baby socks, old shop receipts and used tissues in their handbag.
The eye-catching design is made from Mono Hoops Oilcloth, set off with a leather look trim and piping and like it’s sister, the weekend bag, the satchel opens up to show off a bright and vibrant turquoise lining.
There are several compartments including two large gusseted pockets at the front and a side phone pocket complete with security button, plus a zip pocket under the flap and another zipped pocket running the full width of the bag on the back.
The bag fastens with two magnetic polished nickel buckles and the adjustable strap makes it a good fit to suit.
The only issue I have with the bag I received is my twelve year old daughter’s insistence that she needs it more than I do.
She doesn’t.
We may be falling out over it soon.
The Mono Hoops Satchel (£56.99) can be found here but if you prefer the satchel in a colourful striped design click here instead.
