I have one handbag. One single, big, brown handbag that I use all the time. It is the handbag my brother in law and his girlfriend bought me about three Christmases ago. It doesn’t matter to me if it matches my outfit or not. Then again, I normally wear black and black goes with anything, so they say.
I am normally not swayed by things like bags. As far as I’m concerned as long as you can fill them with stuff that you need to transport from one place to another then then that is all that matters.
Until I got this…
Julie Slater & Son is the home of travel bags and accessories. If you are looking for anything from a luggage tag to an overnight bag then this is the place to find it.
Julie sent me the lovely Weekend Bag in a Mono Hoop pattern. It is such fantastic quality and wonderfully made and is so generous in size that the twins could probably sleep in it. Not that I would put the twins to sleep in it, you understand.
This is too big to use as a handbag but I immediately thought of packing for the hospital. You know what my procrastination has been like with getting the baby clothes ready. Then procrastination hit when it came to packing them for the hospital. Then this beautiful bag arrived and I thought, “That’s going to match my clothes!” and I packed up all the little baby vests and sleepsuits I had set aside to take into hospital. And the bag is only half full! There is still plenty of space in it. I confess that I keep opening it up to take a look at the bright, turquoise lining inside because it’s such a contrast and so cheery to look at.
There are a couple of other bags in the same design, so you can have a matching wash bag, cosmetic bag, overnight bag, or shopper. And if monochrome isn’t your thing, there’s a colourful range of bags and other gift ideas to choose from.
In fact, at Julie Slater & Son there is so much to choose from, you’ll find it hard to make a decision! (And she’s a really, really nice lady too!).
Julie Slater & Son sent me a bag for review. I now look forward to showing it off every chance I get.

that is super adorable, you need something cute to carry to the hospital with you. All those little babies funs are so much fun
